On March 21, Talent 2, a leading BPO company in the Asia Pacific region specializing in human resource services, has inaugurated its biggest facility in Quezon City.
By next year, the company eyes to employ 500 experienced HR personnel in its 3,000-square meter advanced shared service center at the 7th floor of the Techno Plaza 2 building in Eastwood City CyberPark. Most of their employees from their former office in Makati have been transferred to the new site, plus the 130 more who have been newly hired.
According to Mary Sue Rogers, Talent2's global managing director for HR managed services, the company has chosen the Philippines to house their largest facility because of the good number of HR talents here. Other than acknowledging the excellence of Filipino HR workers, she also mentioned that "The cultural fit and quality of work here is better than in India."
The company's chief executive John Rawlinson noted that "the Asia-Pacific is the fastest-growing economic region in the world, where talent flourishes... China is a huge market, and there are emerging markets like Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines". Talent2 provides its HR services to the increasing number of firms in this region, as well as to the local or regional subsidiaries of multinational companies.
Clients from Australia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore and several dozen firms in the Philippines will be provided services directly from their Quezon City facility. Considering the location of their clientele, working hours for Talent2 employees seem not a problem, unlike other BPO companies that require night shifts.
The company which has been in business for almost a decade now, has 46 offices across 19 countries with a 1,500 workforce, providing HR advisory, learning, payroll and recruitment services to 4,000 clients.
